About

ABOUT KRISTY

From an early age, I’ve always had the desire to make the world a better place, by helping people heal physically, emotionally and mentally. This passion grew when I lived in Pakistan as a child, while my parents worked as missionaries.

I have extensive and diverse health and nutrition background and have trained, worked and volunteered across various areas of health, sharing my knowledge and passion for women & children with the world.

Following in my parents’ footsteps, I continue to work with humanitarian organisations including the World Health Organisation (WHO), UNICEF and ICRC (Red Cross). Over the last 8 years I have managed malnutrition feeding centers and run maternal and child health and nutrition programs in Albania, Cambodia and parts of Africa.

As an expert in Infant and Young Child Feeding. I’m particularly passionate and experienced in maternal and paediatric nutrition, having worked extensively with pre-natal and post-natal mothers, as well as with babies and children, specializing in child nutrition.

I am also a doting mother of an active toddler. I have experienced first-hand the struggles that many mothers go through when breastfeeding. After my own experiences and complications during and after childbirth, I have realised just how little support women have during pregnancy, labour and post-partum in nutrition, physical and mental recovery from labour, and breastfeeding support.

This has led to a strong desire, while helping as much as I can to assist other mothers in being able to breastfeed their children confidently, and comfortably, reducing anxiety and fear about this learned skill. While helping their bodies to nutritionally recover from pregnancy and breastfeeding, so that mums can be healthy, active, energised and feel WHOLE again!
